Welcome to the seven-day event THE STRING APARTMENT at Light Box Studio in Aoyama during Tokyo Design Week.
The theme of our event is Life with String shelf.
At Light Box Studio we have created an apartment with six rooms. Four of these rooms will be as rental units with four different tenants, one main apartment for the landlord/lady and an office. The four rooms will showcase the individuality and adaptability possible when living with String shelves. We are excited to announce that top interior stylists Masato Kawai, Michiko Kuroda, Miki Nakabayashi and Masayo Motegi will design a room each.
The main landlord/lady’s apartment will be designed by Sempre Design and it will also include a String pop up shop.
The office will introduce String Works which is our new series especially tailored to office environments.
We are looking forward to finally launch String Works in Japan next year.
The entrance will be designed by Yuki Nakabayashi with an exciting authentic vintage feel.
To see the varied and personal styles of each room and stylist is well worth waiting for!
